Age well in Suffolk and north east Essex
Health and Wellbeing Alliances are groups of government, healthcare and voluntary organisations that work together to tackle some of the problems their communities face.
The advice is aimed at people aged 65 years or older and anyone who supports them such as family, friends or carers.
While we can’t control our age, we can slow down any decline in our health with smart choices along the way. From the foods we eat and how we exercise to our friendships and retirement goals – it all has an effect on how quickly or slowly our bodies age.
The good news is that it’s never too late to get started! You might already have thought of some of the suggestions below, but you may also find some new ideas.
A good way to create new habits or try new things is to set simple goals. In every section you will find ideas and suggestions to help you lead a healthier and happier life as you get older. At the end of the page there is a list of organisations which can provide support to help you put these into practice.
